About Dick Vitale at The Broken Egg!
Dick Vitale, also known as Dickie V, started eating at The Broken Egg in the late 90’s.  After a walk on the beach, Vitale found The Broken Egg nestled in Siesta Key Village and is now a permanent fixture every morning when he's in town. We have designated a table for Dick Vitale at each of our three restaurants.  You’ll find him reading newspapers and giving various phone interviews.

And no, he doesn't mind interruptions at the breakfast or lunch table. "I love being with people," Vitale said. "You have two choices as a celebrity: You can lock yourself up in your home and never go out, or you can embrace celebrityhood. "I embrace it."

The Broken Egg is known for its extensive charitable work and participation in the community so it was a natural fit for The Broken Egg to team up with Dick Vitale to help fight pediatric cancer through the V Foundation.

  • At the bottom of each of our guest receipts, you will have the option to round up your order to the nearest dollar and we’ll donate the difference to help Dick Vitale raise money to fight pediatric cancer through The V Foundation.
